Southern Bushland Repair
provides the following services:

Project management
Geoff Bailey, Company Director (Specialist Certified Nursery Professional, Dip.Management, Cert. Urban Horticulture, Member Australian Institute Horticulture) has 25 years experience in senior management roles in the university system in Australia as well as ten years project management with SBR. (Details of projects recently undertaken follow).

Preparation of documentation
Kate Malfroy, Company Director (Specialist Certified Nursery Professional, Ass.Dip.Landscape, Adv.Cert.Urban Horticulture, Member Association of Landscape Designers & Managers) is well qualified to prepare all aspects of documentation for rehabilitation and landscape works including vegetation management and landscape plans.

Collection of provenance specific plant material
The nursery employs staff qualified and experienced in recognition of Sydney region plant species and conversant with bushland regeneration philosophy. These staff are able to collect appropriate plant material from sites in which genetic continuity is essential to the project’s success.

Propagation and growing-on of plant material

The nursery is well equipped to propagate a wide range of commonly unavailable plants and supply them in suitably hardened-off condition for planting-out in difficult conditions.

Site preparation
We are able to co-ordinate a range of sub-contractors to prepare the site according to documentation, from bulk earthworks to detailed contouring. We also have a team of experienced bush regenerators who are able to selectively weed infested bushland without compromising indigenous species using the most up-to-date regeneration techniques.

Planting-out and follow-up maintenance
Our team can also carry out planting works on any site, including prior spraying of weeds, erection of tree-guards, watering-in at time of planting and follow-up watering if necessary, incorporation of water-holding crystals and slow-release fertiliser in planting holes and follow-up maintenance for as long as necessary.
